This is where WatchDOGS
sign up to volunteer!

WATCH D.O.G.S. is an innovative K-12 program of the National Center for Fathering focusing on improving education in our nation's schools by using the positive influence of fathers and father figures. WATCH D.O.G.S. invites fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or other father figures to volunteer at least one day, all day, at their child/student's school during the school year. The program is overseen by Top Dog volunteers who partner with the Watch D.O.G.S. coordinator and school administrator to coordinate scheduling and identify opportunities for Watch D.O.G.S. to provide assistance at the school.

The day begins at 7:10 a.m. and ends at 2:50 p.m. (Schedules can be adjusted for a full day or half day.) You must be an approved volunteer to sign up. To become an approved volunteer, click the green button on the left side that says "apply now to volunteer." Or you can contact our Volunteer Coordinator -

On Wednesdays, our school offers to Watch D.O.G.S. volunteers an opportunity to greet children before school from 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM. Volunteers must sign in at the office when participating with the "Grateful Dads" Wednesday mornings.
Watch D.O.G.S. Volunteer Days:

Watch D.O.G. volunteers perform a variety of tasks during their volunteer day including monitoring the school entrance, assisting with unloading and loading of buses and cars, monitoring the lunch room, or helping in the classroom with a teacher's guidance by working with small groups of students on homework, flashcards, or spelling.

-Please sign-up 24 to 48 hours in advance of your volunteer day. This allows for us to coordinate with teachers and plan your schedule. If there are no time slots left for a date you would like to volunteer, we can add a slot if you will send an email.

-If you would like to sign up for half day send an email to Cheryl Carey with information about your availability on your volunteer day.
In addition to volunteering during school days, the Watch D.O.G.S. program will have special events that occur before and after school to allow more families to participate! Check for upcoming events, such as Donuts with Dads, Watch D.O.G.S. Kick Off, Watch D.O.G.S. Rally and a spring event.
